Newtech & TERRA Recycling
At Newtech Recycling, we understand the importance of responsible electronics recycling and the impact it has on our environment. That’s why we are proud to partner with TERRA (The Electronics Reuse & Recycling Alliance), the largest network of Certified Recyclers in North America responsible for the disposal of electronic waste.
With TERRA’s innovative Done with IT mail-in recycling program, we aim to drive awareness to the environmental effects of electronic waste and provide access to secure data destruction and certified electronic recycling. Together, we provide individuals and businesses with a certified and sustainable solution for recycling their old electronics. Newtech’s services in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, paired with TERRA’s program, will reach 129 counties and over 44 million residents from Newtech’s processing plant.
We are one of many e-Stewards and/or Certified R2 recyclers to partner with TERRA. We obey the standards to destroy data on submitted devices, refurbish viable ones for reuse, and sustainably recycle end-of-life devices. As a TERRA-partnered recycler, we also guarantee the destruction of confidential data in order to avoid costly breaches and offer complete IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services.
What is TERRA?
The Electronics Reuse & Recycle Alliance eliminates hazardous e-waste from contaminating our air, water, and land by ensuring that only e-stewards and R2-certified recyclers, like Newtech, are taking care of those electronics with data destruction, equipment remarketing, and end-of-life electronics recycling services.
Done with IT
Done with IT is TERRA’s mail-in electronic recycling program that covers 236 million people in 41 states and the District of Columbia. Those looking to get rid of laptops, desktops, cell phones, tablets, power cords, peripherals, gaming consoles and controllers, GPS units, cameras, cable boxes, audio equipment, and other like electronics can ship their unwanted electronics to Done with IT who will destroy all data from the device before determining if it can be reused or recycled through a certified recycler.
