R2 Recycling

R2 Certified Recycler

Newtech Recycling has been achieved the R2V3 Standard, which is the latest version of R2- the electronics recycling industry's leading certification.

The R2 Standard sets forth requirements relating to the environmental, health, safety, and security aspects of electronics recycling. R2 also requires e-recyclers to assure that toxic material streams are managed safely and responsibly by downstream vendors, all the way to their final disposition.

R2 standards also prohibit e-recyclers and their downstream vendors from exporting toxic materials (found in electronic waste such as computers and monitors) to countries that have enacted laws making their import illegal. In addition, the R2 standard focuses on the performance of electronics recyclers in the areas of: environmental and public health, worker health, safety, and throughout the recycling process.
